Chucky Cheese

Finally got brave enough to venture on a play date with both Xander and Garrett. First trip to Chucky Cheese with both boys. Rocco, Tommy, Riley and Jessica are the other babies--R&R are twins. Cute babies, all!

Garrett had an absolute blast. He insisted on climbing the slide, found it was much more fun to go up than down. He is such a monkey!

Next came the rides . . . Garrett has never been on a ride before! As you can see, he made fast friends with Bob the Builder. There was also a Barney train, but there will be NO BARNEY pics on this blog!! :-D Xander didn't care for the rides too much, but this Bob The Builder ride played music while it was running. So Garrett rode and Xander sat next to it and did his silly little rocking dance . . . funny boys!

Xander tolerated a "tandem" ride long enough for a photo op. Overall, he was not thrilled with the whole thing, but it was also his first time out somewhere with me.

Garrett loved the steering wheel, I can't for him to get a car for his b-day! Anyway, as usual I have some great video to go with this, but I don't have time to process it. The last pic needs a caption that says "HEY, GET OUT OF THE WAY!!" What can I say, he is his father's son! :-D

Banister Peek-a-boo

Pretty much Garrett's favorite place to play. He was hiding behind the banister and playing "peek-a-boo!" Gotta love those silly faces!

Playing outside

We're back to playing outside alot again . . . Garrett doesn't care to crawl in the grass, so he bear-crawls (on all 4s) instead. He is SOOO close to walking, I am still hoping he will before his birthday!

Subtropical Storm Andrea

Seriously, Hurricane Season hasn't even started yet!! This does not bode well for South Florida this hurricane season. See www.wunderground.com/tropical/ or www.nhc.noaa.gov for more.

Cereal Faces

Breakfast time means messy faces

My little helper

Thinking about throwing that ole paci we never use anymore into the wash. . . Mostly he likes to pull the clothes out of the dryer as I put them in.

Best Buds

Boating

On Saturday, 5.5.07, we took Garrett on his first for-real boat ride. We took along his friend Xander and his parents, Chris and Jess. The boys had a ton of fun playing on the boat and in the water--they both napped wonderfully and were willing to try almost anything!

Garrett played pretty much endlessly, and took some of the best naps he has taken in a long time. We pulled his little boat behind us and went snorkling . . . TONS OF FUN! Thanks to Jess for some of these pics . . .

Garrett is definately an ocean boy, couldn't have expected better behavior. But then, no surprise there!

The many faces of Garrett (again!)

Mean baby face!

Garrett loves to crinkle his nose. Its hilarious when he does it, but it makes him look mean :-D Pics from 5.2 (I was picture happy!)

My official toy tester

Garrett and I did an DT event recently with my recruiter, Amy. She took these pictures of Garrett . . . he is the best little toy tester ever! :-D AND a good marketing tool. I think I will keep him around for a while!

Let me outta here!

Such a cute, innocent face. Ha! Note the location of his foot . .. he tried to climb out, plopped down like this when I peeked at him around the corner.
Silly boy! But he IS pretty cute! Pics were taken today, 5.2

11 Months!

Oh my goodness, it is so hard to believe Garrett has turned 11 months. As I am writing this, he is just 26 days away from his first birthday!

These pics were taken at the park on 4.30. He went down the slide by himself several times. His favorite thing about the park is that there are little people there for him to watch!

Milestones for this month were first haircut, first step, first time standing alone. He will stand until he realizes no one is holding on, then he will plop down. He occassionally gets bold and takes a step, but then usually does a face plant. Oh, and I almost forgot--FIRST ACT OF DEFINANCE! We were at a restaurant and he started to get up, we told him to sit down and he gave me his crinkly "mean baby" face and got up anyway!! Stinker. :-D

He is the toughest kid on the face of the planet--rarely to spills make him fall. Yesterday we were playing over at Xander's house and he fell against the wall, didn't shead a single tear. He is a climber, everything is game. His favorite thing is still going up and down the stairs. He gained a pound this month, as he has really stepped up
his solids intake (3 bananas a day and as many veggies as I can give him!!) He is SUCH a healthy eater though, he will take something green over other stuff on his plate any day of the week.

I am FINALLY almost ready for him to start walking. He is just going to be so much FUN! He certainly will be a handful though, too. :-D And all boy, no doubt about that!!

Who says boys can't play house?

Or IN the house anyway! :-D Garrett and Xander just love to play together! Pics from 4.27

Big boy!

Sporting his new haircut and looking cute as can be. Pics from 4.26. The last one was taken on a playdate at Pinecrest Gardens by Haydee, the woman who organizes our group. Garrett was stealing another baby's cheerios!! (Now THERE is a surprise!)

First Haircut

Brad gave Garrett his first haircut on April 24th. it proved to be a challenge to trim the hair on such a wiggly baby. You can see in the first pic how long it is in the back. As always, there was plenty of bath-time fun involved!

Jail Birds

I had to run downstairs to grab something and found four sad faces lamenting being left upstairs . . .

Toothies!

I had to take about 30 pictures until I got this one showing those nice pearly whites. He just doesn't like to show them off for the camera! Pic was taken 4.24 No signs of any other toothies yet!
